The Tesla Science Foundation awarded prizes for promoting the legacy and work of Nikola Tesla, and among this year's recipients is inventor Veljko Milković, for realizing Tesla's vision of using gravity to power machines.
At the Ilija M. Kolarac Endowment in Belgrade, now a traditional gathering place for admirers of Nikola Tesla's legacy in July, an international conference titled 'Nikola Tesla Clubs and Tesla's People' was held on July 9, 2024, as part of this year's 'Nikola Tesla Days 2024' event. The event is organized by the Tesla Science Foundation of Serbia and America, which gathers people from America to Australia under the slogan 'Tesla's People,' with the main goal of promoting the legacy of Serbian and American scientist Nikola Tesla and supporting those who follow his path.
The conference in Belgrade dedicated to the great scientist is held every year at the Kolarac People's University and traditionally gathers all those who have made a significant contribution to preserving the legacy and work of Nikola Tesla, one of the greatest scientific minds of modern times, in the previous year. This year's 'Nikola Tesla Days' event marks the 20th anniversary of the existence and work of the Tesla Science Foundation, which this year celebrates two decades of preserving Tesla's legacy.
During the conference, acknowledgments, medals, and the most prestigious awards were given to deserving organizations and individuals who promoted the name and work of Nikola Tesla and the name of Tesla's people (in a dignified and original way) during the previous year.
Among this year's recipients is our famous inventor Veljko Milković from Novi Sad, who received the Tesla Medal and the 'Tesla Spirit Award 2024' for his practical contribution to preserving the legacy and work of Nikola Tesla.
As mentioned at the conference, Milković managed to realize Tesla's vision from the early 20th century about the possible use of gravity to power machines, which Milković achieved one century later by inventing the pendulum-driven technology and successfully applying it to operate machines in water supply, power generation, and heavy industry. In a video address upon receiving yet another recognition for his research work, Veljko Milković, one of our most renowned contemporary inventors and researchers, stated:
My research on two-stage oscillations and the application of pendulum-driven energy, which I have been pursuing intermittently since childhood, was encouraged about 30 years ago by the knowledge that Nikola Tesla, as early as the beginning of the 20th century, in his work 'The Problem of Increasing Human Energy' (1900), predicted the possibility of using gravity to power machines. Unaware of these details Tesla presented, I diligently studied the effects of oscillations and the possibilities for the practical application of gravitational force. So, one century after this vision of Tesla, it has been largely achieved through the application of pendulum-driven technology, as confirmed by measurements and the opinions of scientists and experts.
Veljko Milković
The conference in Kolarac was held as part of the "Nikola Tesla Days 2024 - 20 years of preservation of Tesla's heritage" event, which takes place in Serbia from June 27 to July 15, from Gračanica to Belgrade and Novi Sad.
