Professor Christopher Provalidis from the National Technical University of Athens published a very interesting scientific paper at the beginning of this year on the topic of inertial propulsion drives. In this paper, which is an overview of this topic intended for a scientific audience, the cart with a pendulum, a vehicle with an inertial drive patented by academician Veljko Milkovic is also mentioned.

The review of this controversial topic carries with it a chronology of ideas that were presented as concepts and defined as devices or inertial vehicles of various constructions, with special attention to the second half of the 20th century and the patents published in that period. The drives that are presented are of the following types: a drive that is achieved by means of two counter-rotating weights along a three-dimensional curve, which moves the vehicle; inertoid - a vehicle with 2 weights moving at different speeds using a spring motor, without transferring energy directly to the axles to propel the vehicle; vehicles that are driven by various mechanisms based on gyroscopes, etc. Among these inertial drive concepts is Veljko Milković's inertial drive concept.

Milković presented the cart with inertial drive as an invention in the early 90s of the last century, introducing one of the ways in which a pendulum can be used as a source of energy, in this case the inertial movement of a pendulum to move a wheeled vehicle. The first prototype was made, demonstrating that this way of moving a vehicle on wheels is possible, and in the video that was published on Veljko Milkovic's official YouTube channel, you can also watch the presentation of this invention and the prototype that demonstrates how it works in laboratory conditions. Later, this invention was presented in the book Anti-gravity motor, which was published by Milković in 1996.

This is certainly a very interesting topic and another one of the references related to oscillation research that Veljko Milković did in his career. You can read the scientific paper by clicking on the link below.
